2023-26. My first long-term photo project focused on the Jersey Shore in the 80s. I would travel up and down the coast from Sandy Hook to Cape May photographing the vernacular architecture. It was my first great photo passion. It took me 35 years before turning my camera to the coast, again. This time it was in Maine.

The coast of Maine has a mystical energy that is apparent to anyone who has spent time here. It has ignited the creative spirit of generations of artists. A place of constant change, harmony and conflict, and of giving and taking away. This project is an exploration of this paradoxical landscape, the language of color, and the rhythmic beat of our planet.
